- I am easy going and accepting of others and appreciate the same in people I spend time with. I also have a somewhat dry and sarcastic sense of humor and like to kid around. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, catching movies at the second run theaters, going out to eat, or just spending time at home. I also like taking walks on the beach or going to the park to play Frisbee golf or just to walk. I also like camping, hiking, bike riding and generally most things outdoors. I like the performing arts, particularly opera or other live music. Most of the concerts I go to are rock concerts, but I also enjoy more relaxed shows.

- I am looking for an honest, communicative, open minded & family orientated woman. I think good communication is central to a healthy relationship as communicating problems, wants and desires are important in resolving them. I would that in addition to sharing many common interests, they would be able to have their own interests and hobbies.

- I often ask advise from certain family members and coworkers. They are typically people that tend to have similar view as I do, however I do sometimes seek out alternative points of view.

- Honesty and integrity, I believe that people are only as good as their word. I also believe that trying counts, we are not always able to live up to our promises and some people optimistically promise too much. I don't think that is all that bad providing that they made an honest effort to deliver on their promises.

- I value women who are honest, caring and look for good in situations. I realize that we all have bad days and sometimes situations can get us down. But I like people who look for the good side when possible and try to maintain a cheerful and happy demeanor. There is plenty in life to upset us and get us down, I don't appreciate people who seem to actively search for the negative side of situations and things.

- I think the most recent thing that dramatically altered my life and changed me was the death of my father. It has been several years now, but it changed what is important to me as well as many other things in my life.

- Stand up for what you believe in, and never compromise what you feel is right.

- I am always shocked and amazed at how some people can have so little respect for other people. Especially those who hurt others emotionally or physically. I understand political and governmental issues that are separate or greater than personal conflicts. But I can not comprehend how someone can intentionally abuse or mistreat others on a personal level.

- To meet a wonderful woman and have a family. I would like to be able to provide a stable environment for a family. I also hope that we could pursue activities as a family that make things fun and entertaining. I believe that there are many different levels of what that might be.

- Right now I think I spend too much time at work, I hope to find reasons to spend more time at home. I like my job, but I think family and personal relationships are far more fulfilling.

- I can be stubborn and hard headed at times. I also sometimes give up for short periods of time when I feel overwhelmed, it usually doesn't take long for me to recover and become myself again, but it does happen occasionally. I work too much and don't spend the time caring for myself that I think I should, this is another thing that I hope to change. I also sometime take jokes a bit far, I never try to hurt people and try to realize when I have gone too far and also take great effort in not letting things get to that point.

- I am hard working and dependable, I take pride in living up to my promises and expectations. I am kind and caring and genuinely want the best for everyone, especially those I have become associated with. I try to be optimistic and look for the good in any situation. I also try very hard to acknowledge and take responsibility for my actions. I also try to apologize when I have made mistakes or taken things too far.

- My tastes in music are rather varied. I listen to mostly classical music at work, and particularly like opera and concertos. I also listen to modern and classic rock outside of work. I also have a great love for folk and certain foreign music, as well as classic bluegrass. I often say that there is no music I don't like, but then I hear something that proves me wrong.

- I should take the opportunity here to tell you that I am vegetarian. I was raised that way and have never eaten meat, although I have started eating fish in the past year or so. Other than that I like Italian, Mexican, and American cuisine.
